Who is "The Colonels Pride"? The Colonels Pride is the James Wood High School band - a group of JWHS students that work together during the school and non-school hours to present an award winning musical program. The musical program is under the overall direction of Mr. Jeff Rutherford. Through a strong parent organization and continued dedication of the Frederick County School Board and students, the James Wood High School Band has become a well respected organization within the Frederick County community, Winchester, VA, community, and State of Virginia.
